A320 Type Rating
This course concerns pilots wishing to be qualified on Airbus A320.
Gear-Up ATO offers initial and additional A320 QT courses, as well as A330 to A320 transition courses (CCQ).
These courses take place in 3 phases:
A distance theoretical training (CBT) and face-to-face phase allowing you to acquire technical knowledge and become familiar with aircraft procedures.
A practical phase on the A320 simulator allowing you to practice normal and abnormal procedures of the aircraft.
A base training flight, where the trainee will perform 6 takeoffs and landings on the plane (if required - this service can be carried out by one of our partners).
Type rating revalidation and renewal
These sessions are intended for type-qualified pilots wishing to extend the validity of their ratings or to renew a rating which has already expired.
Gear-Up ATO offers revalidation sessions on Airbus A320, A330 and A350.
Renewal courses are only available on Airbus A320. The content of these courses depends on the expiry date of your rating as well as your recent experience.
Type Rating Instructor (SFI/TRI)
This course is designed for pilots wishing to obtain a Type Rating Instructor (SFI/TRI) qualification.
Gear-Up ATO offers A320 SFI/TRI courses that take place in two phases:
A classroom module dedicated to the learning process and the acquisition of teaching techniques.
A practical module on a simulator where a qualified crew will act as trainees and will be briefed, instructed, and debriefed by the SFI/TRI trainee.
Training sessions
These sessions are intended for pilots wishing to benefit from “à la carte” simulator training sessions.
